NHC is monitoring a weak low pressure system located this morning over the Atlantic Ocean about 100 miles east of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Some slow development is possible during the next few days before upper-level winds become unfavorable. There is a low chance of it becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as it moves toward the west or west-northwest.
Regardless of any development, the disturbance could produce heavy rainfall across portions of the Turks and Caicos Islands, as well as the southeastern and central Bahamas, during the next couple of days.
