NHC has issued its last advisory on "Rafael" over the North Atlantic as the system has lost its tropical characteristics. In this photo, it is centered about 475 miles southeast of Nova Scotia. Maximum sustained winds are 75 mph. Although weakening is expected, it will remain a powerful extratropical low over the North Atlantic for several more days.
NHC has also issued its last advisory on "Paul" over the eastern North Pacific, as the system is now a remnant low off the west coast of the Baja California Peninsula.
