Adult Protective ServicesThis program provides emergency interventions and on-going services to protect adults from abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
How to Report AbuseAdult abuse, neglect, or exploitation can be reported by calling (209) 385-3105. Emergencies occurring between 5:00 pm and 8:00 am, or on weekends and holidays can be reported by calling (209) 722-9915.
Long-term Care Ombudsman (AAA)This service provides advocacy and protection for residents of skilled nursing facilities and residential care facilities for the elderly.
Certification of Out-of-Home Care for AdultsTo receive certification an adult who has disabilities must meet the following criteria:
- Eligible adult must qualify for additional cash assistance to pay for care provided to the dependent adult in that home
- Must be residing in an appropriate home
- Must qualify for low income Social Security benefits
