2012 National Film Registry

    We are accepting nominations
    for the 2013 Registry here.

    Please limit your nominations to no more than 50 titles per person. Need a little inspiration? Here are some films not yet named to the National Film Registry.
  • View the complete National Film Registry (1989-2011)
    by film title, release year, and year added to the Registry
  • Registry titles in the news including video releases, screenings/broadcasts, articles and blogs
  • Personnel credits for films on the Registry

How do I obtain DVDs or videos of National Film Registry titles? The National Film Preservation Board does not possess rights to any of the NFR titles and thus we cannot sell video copies to the public. Most of the National Film Registry titles may be rented or purchased from the usual retail outlets and many are available at your local library.
