Vermont

The collections of the American Folklife Center contain rich material documenting the folk traditions of Vermont. Among its recordings are cylinder recordings of New England ballads and folksongs dating from the 1930s; and the Helen Hartness Flanders Collection documenting the folk music of New England, and more recent recordings made by Margaret MacArthur.
