Air Almanac . . .

Provides astronomical data for air navigation. Contains ephemeral data for the year, together with auxilary tables and graphs, and a brief explanation of the use of the volume. Presents data for the Sun, Moon, Aries, planets, and stars.

Astronomical Phenomena for the Year . . .

Prepared in cooperation with the Royal Greenwich Observatory, Her Majesty's Nautical Almanac Office. Provides information about sunrise and sunset, moonrise and moonset, stars and other astronomical phenomena. Data are expressed in the scale of universal time, also known as Greenwich mean time.

Astronomical Almanac for the Year...and Its Companion, the Astronomical Almanac Online: Data for Astronomy, Space Sciences, Geodesy, Surveying, Navigation, and Other Applications . . .

Prepared jointly with Her Majesty's Nautical Almanac Office, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, England. Designed in consultation with other astronomers of many countries. Provides current, accurate astronomical data for use in the making and reduction of observations and for general purposes. The Astronomical Almanac Online (http://purl.access.gpo.gov/GPO/LPS49630) extends the printed version by providing data best presented in machine-readable form. Online data are provided for several years.

Atlas of Pilot Charts . . .

Each map is labeled for a different month and describes the conditions to be expected in that particular month. Intended to be used in conjunction with other navigational aids. Presents, in graphic form, averages obtained from data gathered over many years in meteorology and oceanography to aid the navigator in selecting the quickest and safest routes. Includes explanations of how to use each type of information depicted in the charts.

International Code of Signals for Visual, Sound, and Radio Communicaions, 1969, As Adopted by the Fourth Assembly of the Inter-Governmental Maritime Consultative Organization in 1965 . . .

Provides ways and means of communication in situations related essentially to safety or navigation and persons, especially when language difficulties arise. Suitable for transmission by all means of communication, including radiotelephony and radiotelegraphy.

Light List . . .

The following volumes describe the location and characteristics of the lights, fog signals, buoys, daybeacons, lightships, radiobeacons, racons, and LORAN stations in United States waters. They should be corrected each week from the Notice to Mariners or Local Notices to Mariners as appropriate.

Lists major fixed and outermost floating aids to navigation, such as sea buoys, safety fairway buoys, traffic separation buoys, etc. Important: These publications should be corrected each week from the Notice to Mariners.

Nautical Almanac for the Year . . .

These almanacs are produced cooperatively by the United States Naval Observatory and Her Majesty's Stationery Office in London. Their purpose is to provide in a convenient form the astronautical data required for sea navigation. Includes the phases of the Moon, nautical eclipses; emphemerides of the Sun, Moon, Aries, and Planets; star charts; standard times; Polaris tables; conversion of arc times; index to selected stars; altitude correction and tables for the Sun, Moon, stars, and planets; and much more.

River Navigation Charts . . .

Each volume contains: General Notes; Regulations, Section 7 of River and Harbor Act of 1917; Extracts from sections of the River and Harbor Act of 1899; United States Coast Guard Information; Characteristics of Lights and Notes; Aids to Navigation and Legend; Tabular Index to Navigation Charts; Map Index to Navigation Charts; Navigation Charts; River Terminals; and River Small Boat Harbors, Ramps, Landings, etc.

Sailing Directions (Enroute) . . .

Provides information that cannot be shown graphically on nautical charts and is not readily available elsewhere. Includes detailed coastal and port approach information which supplements the latest revised print of the largest scale chart for sale by the National Imagery and Mapping Agency.
