Models, Databases and Tools

Research is providing models, measurement methods and other scientific tools needed to develop effective mitigation and adaptation strategies to make the U.S. resilient to the impacts of climate change.

Researchers are working to:

  • Develop modeling tools that assess the extent to which climate stressors such as water availability may constrain the deployment of technologies to mitigate or adapt to climate change.
  • Develop tools to evaluate alternative strategies to lessen the impact of climate change.
  • Develop methods and measurement techniques to assess the effectiveness of climate change strategies and technologies.
