I don't know if you'll ever see this. You say we need to call out discrimination and that things will get better then this is one way you can do both. The discriminatory policy of NCD 140.3 transgender surgery has been on the books since the 60's and is no longer an accurate description of the complications nor the success of these surgeries. Changing this would effect the whole system. (NCD) for Transsexual Surgery (140.3) please look at WPath dot org and the AMA policy manual for more info too

continued...That's like saying, pre-segregation, an African American should have sung praise & campaigned for a man because he let him drink from the same fountain once or twice. It should just be a given right. Suggesting we vote for him because of that one reason is degrading. I support Obama; but your comment was out of line.

We're the same as you & shouldn't have to be praise at the knees of Obama & vote for him SOLEY because he's treating those of us that are LGBT as - gasp - human. Continued...
