How to run the query: You can query our data base of preliminary 2010 U.S. commercial fishery landings and summarize these data by state, species, and distance from shore. Choose (click on) a state and then click on the SUBMIT button to run the query. To view a list of the states, click on the "down-arrow" icon. Landings can only be summarized for a single state per query.

What is reported: Landings are reported in thousands of pounds and dollars and are listed by catches made in state waters (usually 0-3 nautical miles from shore), in the EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone; federal waters 3-200 miles from shore), and on the high seas (> 200 miles from shore). All landings are preliminary and subject to change. The species listed by these queries are less aggregated than species listed in the NOAA Fisheries annual statistical publication, "Fisheries of the United.States."
