CONDITIONS AS OF 2:00 PM EST: National Weather Service (NWS) stated Hurricane Sandy is a category one hurricane over the Bahamas, with 80 mph sustained winds, moving north at 6 mph. The latest track (picture attached) shows center of the Hurricane hitting New Jersey and Delaware Monday that will continue through Maryland and Pennsylvania northwest Tuesday through Wednesday. 50/60 mph winds and tropical storm conditions with power outages and coastal flooding is predicted worst case scenario for NCR. Sunday, NWS will be able to narrow track and better determine direction and scope of the storm. Since the storm is slow moving, the worst part is the long sustainment of conditions. May expect wintry conditions in the middle of the week. View Hurricane Sandy information from the National Hurricane Center at: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/#SANDY
