71st Anniversary of the Military Police Corps Regiment

Military Police Team,
It is with great pride that I announce the Team from the 525th Military Police Battalion as the Winners of the 2012 Military Police Warfighter Team Competition held at Fort Leonard Wood , MO.
The Team members were: SGT Walker, Brandan L. / SPC Aoun, Danny R. / PFC Gutierrez, Roman
What makes this team special is it truly represents our entire Military Police Corps. The Team Leader is an active duty 31E and the two team members are USAR 31B Soldiers. This composite team is a great reflection of all our Military Police Soldiers.

USAMPS Update to the Regiment (July 2012)

The Commandant's intent is to keep you informed using the DOTMLPF domain, establish an open dialogue and solicit your feedback. The document at the link explains how you can help, and who you can call for more information. This new format is intended to be concise, informative, and easy to use. Your experience with deployments, training, operations, equipment, and TTPs have never been more important and we look forward to hearing from you and your SMEs.

This bi-monthly packet is intended to show MP progress on projects and initiatives occurring here at USAMPs, MSCoE, or throughout the military across the DOTML-PF domains.
It also provides a way for the field to contact specific action officers for more information or to participate.

Third Edition of the Social Media Handbook

The Office of the Chief of Public Affairs and the Online and Social Media Division are pleased to announce the release of the third version of the Army's Social Media Handbook.
This edition of the Social Media Handbook includes new sections about Facebook Timeline, the Army Public Affairs Portal, social media page registration and the social media directory. It also explains proper social media use during M.I.A. and K.I.A. situations and breaks down the details of the ALARACT addressing Army operations Security (OPSEC) training for external official presence sites. The Social Media Handbook includes a section titled, "So you think you need a social media presence," in addition to updated screenshots, operational examples and examples of social media use by Army leadership. ......Click Here

Range 13 Dedication-Postponed

Fort Leonard Wood allowed the Military Police School to dedicate three MP specific ranges after fallen MP Warriors. This year USAMPS held the final Range Dedication Board for the third range. Range 13 will be dedicated/named after SSG James R. Ide, assigned to 18th Military Police Brigade when he was KIA in support of OEF....Range Dedication
