The United States has trade relations with more than 75 countries around the world.

The top five export markets for U.S. goods in 2008 were:

  • Canada, $261.4 billion
  • Mexico, $151.5 billion
  • China, $71.5 billion
  • Japan, $66.6 billion
  • United Kingdom, $54.7 billion
