al shots in my neck for Herniated Discs at C4-C5-C6-C7 at the St Thomas Neurosurgery center. My Neurologist was Dr. Hubbard at the Howell Allen clinic. I was injected with methylprednisolone acetate in 3 sessions a few weeks apart. These injections and weeks of physical therapy were administered to regain use of my left arm from numbness and strength loss.

A couple months later my health went severely down hill, I ended up in the emergency room at the hospital in Cookeville TN, just after being referred to a Pulmonologist by my PCP and being put on Cymbalta for depression. After CT, Ultra Sound and PET scan, I ended up having a Biopsy of my Lymph nodes, to which Cnacer was negative, but spores were present all through my body.

The infectious Disease doctor I saw supposedly had sent a sample to you guys at the CDC. The actual fungal infection was narrowed down to two possible choices, and since the Itraconozole I was prescribed would kill them both, the assumption was that it was probably Disseminated Histoplasmosis. I had always thought that maybe I got it from my visit to the Lost Sea caves in Sweetwater, TN. Now I am suspicious of my injections with all these recent problems.

One of the things that stood out from that time was the fact that I don't have cancer, AIDS, or hepatitis, and the confusion as to why my immune system crashed so hard and fast.

I didn't get meningitis but my injections were in my neck, so maybe there was a mechanical reason I ended up with a different type of infection.

I realize that my situation is almost 5 years ago now, and that the focus should be on those who are suffering now, but let's not forget that this problem may have been going on a lot longer than just this year.

a week and a half so far - if you sit still rest or sleep - you have to clear out the flem it builds up that bad fast - and f your moving arround - it stays at lower levels - any dry cracked or infamed irritated part of sinuses -throat or chest - will cause high fever and infection as secondary . you cannot sleep as post nasal drip keeps you hacking night and day -- herbal remedys barely touch this thing . i tried irrigating sinuses with water mixed with -a little bit of wiskey /anti bacterial soap -and salt water - eased problems soremness mucus a small bit anyways - sinusitius -toncilitus and lartagitus and bronkitus seems to be regyular with this stuff -if this is the flu it is a verry bad one this year - be prepared to lose a week off work and get some bills from urgent care if infections need anti biotics . ive used alot of vitamin c and it just helps a little bit .im thiking of irrigating sinuses and garling with water mixed with vinegar next for infections . -just thought id warn ya -my brother works for a vw car dealership and many people there have it

are aging with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH). I have two children of my own living with Hydrocephalus and they have many other conditions that result from this incurable brain condition. I would just like to know why the decision was made NOT to maintain statistics on this life threatening and debilitating condition? I think my children deserve an answer.
