U.S. Education Official to Address International Dyslexia Association Annual Meeting

Michael Yudin, acting assistant secretary for special education and rehabilitative services, will address the 63rd annual conference of the International Dyslexia Association Friday, Oct. 26, in Baltimore. Yudin will discuss strategies for educating students with dyslexia and also provide remarks on the Office of Special Education (OSEP)’s efforts to develop a Results-Driven Accountability system that places a greater emphasis on improving outcomes for children with disabilities.

Yudin heads the Education Department's Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, of which OSEP is a component. The office includes programs aimed at improving results and outcomes for the nation's infants, toddlers, children and adults with disabilities.
