Government Training
National Enforcement Training Institute
EPA's National Enforcement Training Institute (NETI) provides training to environmental enforcement personnel including government inspectors, the legal community and investigators in federal, state, tribal and local governments. NETI's training services include self-paced training modules, webcast seminars and live training courses from national experts across a broad range of enforcement related topics.
Who can register for training?
Governmental personnel, including inspectors, investigators and the legal community in federal, state, tribal and local governments can register for training.
Non-governmental or facility personnel can seek information and training through EPA’s Compliance Assistance Program.

Basic Inspector Training Course
NETI is sponsoring the Basic Inspector Training Course (PDF) (4 pp, 103K, About PDF), which will take on October 16-18, 2012 in Washington, DC. Registration (PDF) (2 pp, 89K, About PDF) is now open and closes on October 1, 2012.
NETI Online is NETI's online training resources site. NETI Online provides access to course registration and schedule, online classrooms, and email updates.
The EPA Environmental Enforcement Course Catalog (PDF) (4 pp, 62K, About PDF) offers training in three formats:
- E-Learning Courses (E) - Web-based online courses that meet SCORM and section 508 standards.
- Classroom Courses (C) - Courses delivered at various locations (e.g. EPA Headquarters, EPA Regional Offices, and state offices)
