If you desire notification of USA and worldwide quakes, you should apply to the USGS ENS system. Earthquake Notification Service (ENS) see https://sslearthquake.usgs.gov/ens/ The ENS is a USGS service that sends automated emails or text messages when an earthquake happens. You can customize ENS to only deliver messages for earthquakes in certain areas, at specified times, with certain magnitude thresholds (e.g. My defaults are: California M3.0; Pacific Northwest M4.5; rest of the US M5; rest of the world M6), and to multiple addresses. The USGS National Strong-Motion Project does not provide daily/weekly notifications for quakes in the USA and worldwide. We do not locate earthquakes, but instead collect data from sensors in structures for engineers to use for improving building designs.
