The second annual national Mobility Management Conference presents an opportunity for mobility management experts and practitioners to explore strategies and resources that lead to improved services. The Partnership will highlight successful partnerships and performance measures. Organized and presented by the Partnership for Mobility Management - a joint effort of several national organizations to focus attention and resources on mobility management approaches - the Conference program will include a mix of plenary and workshop sessions, roundtable discussions and networking opportunities over a day-and-a-half schedule.
Among the featured topics during the Conference are implementing mobility management programs, non-emergency medical transportation and travel training, one-call/one-click centers, statewide mobility management, federal programs, financial sustainability and customer service. Meanwhile, a luncheon session on May 10 will be devoted to the federal government’s Veteran’s Transportation and Community Living Initiative, and how the grants awarded through the Initiative will interact with mobility management efforts in their local communities.
The conference is geared towards the needs of mobility managers, transit dispatchers and schedulers, multimodal center personnel, policy-makers and human service transportation professionals interested in improved coordination of programs and services. Speakers and presenters will be feature representatives of the Partnership for Mobility Management and other national organizations, state and local mobility management professionals, community and business leaders and the customers and riders who benefit from improved mobility management options.
The event is hosted by the American Public Transportation Association - a founding member of the Partnership- following its Bus & Paratransit Conference from May 6 – 9.
