AFC 1941/009: Delaware and Maryland Recordings
Twenty-three 12-inch discs of approximately 50 songs and harmonica tunes and 10 interviews, recorded in various locations in Delaware and Maryland, June 1941, by Jerome Wiesner, Joseph Liss, and Glenn Gildersleeve. The collection includes 4 pages of logs. [catalog record]

AFC 1950/017: National Folk Festival, 1938
One 12-inch and thirty-nine 16-inch discs of instrumentals, songs, dance music, and folk dancing (Morris dance, sword dance, square dance, and social dances) performed by Scottish, American Indian, Spanish American, Anglo-American, African American, and Pennsylvania Dutch performers. Includes folk songs, ballads, fiddle tunes, coal miner's songs and music from Pennsylvania; cowboy songs; sea songs; Chinese music; Turkish music; Slavonic tamburitza music; Bach chorales; orchestral music; interviews; and lectures performed during the National Folk Festival in Washington, D.C., from May 6-8, 1938. AFS 9859B: One disc containing 2 square dances with fiddle and banjo performed by a group led by Chris Sanderson from Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, and a dance group led by Mr. and Mrs. C.C. West possibly of Delmar, Delaware. Recorded at the National Folk Festival in Washington, D.C., May 1938. (12 minutes; preservation tape LWO 5111 reel 270A)

AFC 1970/029: Bailey Brothers and the Happy Valley Gang Recordings
One 7-inch tape of 12 songs performed by the Bailey Brothers and the Happy Valley Gang from Wilmington, Delaware. Originally recorded on the Canary, Rich-R-Tone, and WWVA labels, 1948-1954. The collection includes 1 page of song titles. (AFS 14,167) (34 minutes; LWO 5845) [catalog record]

One audiocassette of a lecture given by Alan Jabbour entitled "Folklife and Creative Federalism." Recorded at the Conference on American Folk Art held at the Henry Francis du Pont Winterthur Museum near Wilmington, Delaware, November 10-12, 1977. (1 hour and 8 minutes; RYA 2544)

AFC 1997/011: Lands' End All-American Quilt Collection
Lands' End in cooperation with Good Housekeeping magazine sponsored quilt contests in 1992, 1994, and 1996. The collection,housed in 154 boxes, consists of visual images, entry blanks, and essays written by entrants, as well as Lands End administrative files and correspondence pertinent to the promotion of the contest. Approximately 13,100 entries for the three contests came from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Numerous types and styles of needlework, quilting, patchwork, applique and embroidery are represented among the visual images. [catalog record] [finding aid] [online presentation]

AFC 2000/001: Local Legacies Collection
Four hundred and five linear feet (approximately 90,000 manuscript pages, 475 sound recordings, 13,000 graphic materials, 330 electronic media, and 75 artifacts) of documentation of local festivals, fairs, parades, and other community-based events from each U.S. state, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories and trusts. The Local Legacies Collection was donated through the efforts of individuals, organizations, and institutions asked to participate by members of Congress. AFC 2007/009: Alliance for American Quilts Interview Collection
Interviews (both audio and transcripts) and photographs from the "Quilters' S.O.S. – Save Our Stories project," a partnership between the Regional Center For The Quilt at the Center for American Material Culture Studies, University of Delaware, and the Alliance for American Quilts.

AFC 2008/011: Zionaires Concert Collection
Collection of digital video, sound recordings, and photographs documenting a concert by the Zionaires on July 24, 2008 in the Coolidge Auditorium, Library of Congress, as part of the Homegrown concert series sponsored by the American Folklife Center.
