Twenty-four 7-inch tapes of music recorded in French Guinea, French Sudan, Gold Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, and Upper Volta by Arthur S. Alberts, ca. 1949-50. The collection includes a 3-page concordance.

One 12-inch commercial LP entitled Music of Pondo Kakou, secret society from Ivory Coast, Dahomey, Guinea. Recorded by Gilbert Rouget, ca. 1950s. The collection includes a short article about the Pondo Kakou, written in French. (The Musee de l'Homme LD 17 [LP shelf]) (AFS 11,347)

AFS 22,194-22,195: Dorothy Morrison / Operation Crossroads Africa Collection
Two 7-inch tapes of environmental sounds and dance music and songs performed with drums and flute by Boy Scouts from Abidjan and surrounding areas. Recorded at various locations in the Ivory Coast and Upper Volta by Dorothy Morrison in cooperation with Operation Crossroads Africa, July-August 1981. The collection includes 11 color slides.
