Please join us at the Seattle Public Library on
Sunday, October 7 at 1 p.m. to celebrate the publication of Four Thousand
Hooks, by Dean Adams.
This gripping memoir follows Dean the summer he turned 16 and worked on a fishing boat in the Gulf of Alaska. Book sales will be provided by Captain's Nautical Supplies.

"I relived my own past reading Four Thousand Hooks. The way Adams
described seeing things for the first time through the eyes of a greenhorn
crew member - the sights and smells, what it's like to really feel work and
exhaustion, being on your own as a young man in Alaska - brought back memories
I didn't know I had."
- Sig Hansen, Captain of the Northwestern as
seen on Deadliest Catch
