The National Archives at Anchorage maintains records retired from Federal agencies and courts in Alaska. In our public Research Rooms we serve historians, genealogists, lawyers, scholars, students, government officials, environmentalists, veterans, and others. We also provide records management assistance to Federal Government agencies.

The facility is on West Third Avenue between F and G Streets. Use the main entrance on West Third Avenue.

By Public Transportation

Accessed by all municipal buses that stop at the Anchorage Transit Center, 6th Avenue and G Street, three blocks south of the archives. Service is limited on weekends. Call the Transit Center (907-343-6543) for route and schedule information or go to the PeopleMover home page on the Internet.

Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Some Saturday hours. Call for schedule.
Closed Sundays and Federal holidays.
