Note: Publication apparently suspended in May 1800, presumably with the issue numbered vol. 2, no. 52. The issue of Oct. 2, 1801, vol. 3, no. 1, whole no. 105, stated that the paper was resumed after having been suspended for some time. The last issue located is that of Mar. 25, 1805.

Note: This was the first newspaper publised in Kentucky. Continued by The Kentucky gazette, starting with the issue of Mar. 14, 1789.

Note: Continuation of The Kentucke gazette. Continued by the Kentucky gazette and general advertiser, starting with the issue of Jan. 18, 1803.

89. Stewart's Kentucky herald. w., Feb. 17, 1795-Dec. 30, 1800+

Note: Established in February 1795, judging from the date of the first issue located, that of June 30, 1795, vol. 1, no. 20. The last of the Lexington issues located is that of Aug. 2, 1803. After an interruption of a year or more, the paper was removed to Paris in 1805.
