Virginia’s senior population continues to grow, and projections estimate that this age group will constitute almost 25 percent of the Commonwealth’s population by 2025.  As the “baby boom” generation retires and Americans continue to live longer, I believe it is important that the services that Virginia’s seniors depend upon adequately meet the increased demand.



I have consistently supported policies that assist our older population - from ensuring access to health care and Medicare to protecting retirement savings and Social Security.  I look forward to continuing this important work through the remainder of my term.
