North Metro Region

My North Metro regional office located in Warren serves Oakland, Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Sanilac and St. Clair counties, a diverse area made up of commercial districts as well as rural and agricultural areas. The office provides a variety of services from assisting individuals working with federal agencies to helping businesses and local governments to seek out federal funding opportunities for local projects. The staff in my Warren office are my personal representatives in the region and are here to serve you.

My office is located across from the GM Tech Center and in close proximity to many large automotive plants and hundreds of engineering, tool and die, technology, and manufacturing businesses serving not only the automotive industry but also the military, the aeronautics market and the growing alternative energy market. This region also contributes to Michigan’s agricultural success with cattle, corn, beans and sugar beets all farmed here. The North Metro region has a diverse population with residents hailing from cultures from around the world.

The region is home to Selfridge Air National Guard Base, where units from all five of the military services, as well as from the Department of Homeland Security and other federal and state agencies, are located. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) and the Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC), headquartered in Warren, comprise one of the U.S. Army’s largest research, development and acquisition organizations and are a keystone to the region’s burgeoning defense industry and technology centers.
