United States Senator Mary L. Landrieu, D-La., Chair of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, will hold a hearing Thursday, September 15, 2011 entitled, “Disaster Recovery: Evaluating the Role of America’s Small Business in Rebuilding Their Communities.” In light of recent disasters on the East Coast, Missouri and Alabama, the Committee will review Federal disaster contracting for small businesses. Small Business Committee Members will hear directly from small business owners on challenges and opportunities in working with the Federal government and establish a Committee record on post-Katrina issues which may impact 2011 disaster recovery efforts.
