WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Olympia J. Snowe (R-Maine), Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, was honored today with the American Legion Small Business Task Force’s inaugural “Congressional Small Business Enabling Award.” Senator Snowe was presented the award for her tireless efforts in supporting veterans and small business across the nation.

“I am profoundly honored to be recognized by such a prestigious award from the American Legion,” said Senator Snowe. “Throughout my time in Congress, it has always been a privilege to work with the American Legion in our shared goal of assisting our nation’s heroic veterans whom we owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude. I cannot express my appreciation enough for their stalwart commitment and their storied service to America is nothing short of legendary.”
