The purpose of the hearing will be to hear testimony on the following bills related to oil and gas development:S. 516. A bill to extend outer Continental Shelf leases to accommodate permitting delays and to provide operators time to meet new drilling and safety requirements;
S. 843. A bill to establish outer Continental Shelf lease and permit processing coordination offices, and for other purposes;
S. 916. A bill to facilitate appropriate oil and gas development on Federal land and waters, to limit dependence of the United States on foreign sources of oil and gas, and for other purposes;
S. 917. A bill to amend the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act to reform the management of energy and mineral resources on the Outer Continental Shelf, and for other purposes (Hearing Room SD-366).
The hearing will be webcast live on the Committee's website, and an archive video will be available shortly after the hearing is complete. Witness testimony will be available on the website at the start of the hearing.
