Women’s History Essay Competition(6th- 12th Grade)
In honor of Women’s History Month in March, Middle and High School students throughout the 12th Congressional District are invited to participate in a special essay competition. Students are invited to write about a woman that inspires them.
Congressional Art Competition(9th-12th Grade)
See your art in hall of Congress. This nationwide art competition, AN ARTISTIC DISCOVERY, has been coordinated and conducted by Members of the House of Representatives in their own districts since 1981. The competition is open to high school students and provides Members of Congress and the public the opportunity to recognize the artistic talents of our youth.
Congressional Award(9th- College)
The Congressional Award is a public partnership created by Congress to promote and recognize achievement, initiative, and service in America’s youth. The Congressional Award Provides a unique opportunity for young people to set and achieve personally challenging goals that build character and foster community service, personal development and citizenship.
