The Act strengthens our Nation’s ability to respond to infectious diseases and other threats to public health.
It supports the delivery of community prevention and wellness services and establishes a competitive grant program at the CDC to improve surveillance for and responses to infectious diseases and other public health threats at the State, local, and tribal level.
