Project Title: SERE Force Support Complex Phase 1
Recipient: Fairchild Air Force Base
Amount: $11,000,000
Location: Fairchild Air Force Base, WA

Purpose: To construct a new Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) support facility.

Importance: The current facility at Fairchild is aged and ill-equipped for its current mission to train U.S. military personnel to avoid, resist and escape from capture.  The construction of a new SERE support facility would facilitate this critical training for servicemembers during a time of war.

Project Title: Small Craft Launch
Recipient: Naval Station Everett
Amount: $2,620,000
Location: Naval Station Everett, WA
Purpose: To construct a small boat launch at Naval Station Everett.

Importance: Currently, Navy and Coast Guard personnel at Naval Station Everett must tow small boats roughly one mile to a public boat launch, hampering their ability to quickly respond to security threats and environmental situations.  Constructing a small boat launch on-base will enhance Fleet Readiness, help keep sailors and civilians safe, and conserve energy.

Recipient: Fairchild Air Force Base
Amount: $4,150,000
Location: Fairchild Air Force Base, WA

Purpose: To construct a Total Force Integration (TFI) Refueling Vehicle Maintenance Facility at Fairchild Air Force Base.

Importance: Air Force personnel who service, maintain and repair refueling vehicles at Fairchild must work out of an unheated, undersized facility nearly two miles from the refueling vehicle parking lot.  Constructing a new Maintenance Facility will improve working conditions for Airmen, save energy and time, and support the Aerial Refueling mission.
