As a mother, a former pre-school teacher and school board member, and a United States Senator, I feel very strongly that we need an education system that works well for our parents, schools and teachers—and most importantly, for students.
So as we work in the Senate to update and fix the broken No Child Left Behind law, I am going to be there at the table to stand up for our students and families and to make sure our kids have the resources they need to succeed.
But I need your help.
I consider it to be my job to be your voice in the Senate. So send me your ideas. Tell me your stories. Let me know what you think works in your schools and in your experience, and what you think needs to change.
Making our education system work well for our students will take all of us working together. But I can promise you that it will be your thoughts and experiences that guide me as I fight for change.
