Project Title:  Lincoln County Emergency Operations Center
Recipient:       Lincoln County, WA
Amount:          $1.8 million
Location:         Sprague, WA

Purpose: This funding will support construction of an Emergency Operations Center in Sprague, Washington, to provide integrated fire and police emergency response in Lincoln County.

Importance: The Emergency Operations Center will enhance safety in Lincoln County and allow more reliable police and fire emergency response in a rural county larger than the state of Delaware along with an important section of the Interstate 90 corridor to which local resources frequently must respond for emergency calls.

Project Title:  Downtown Transit Tunnel Security Improvements
Recipient:       King County, WA
Amount:          $1.6 million
Location:         Seattle, WA

Purpose: This funding would support the purchase and installation of a security system in the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel to detect threats and allow rapid and effective emergency, fire and law enforcement response.

Importance: Acquiring detection technology to provide early warning is a prudent response to possible threats related to the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel that would harm transit riders, employees, and critical infrastructure in the heart of downtown Seattle.
