Weekly Update: Making Sense of the Federal Budget Print Share
U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman focuses on the federal budget in this week's podcast. Bingaman explains what the two-week continuing resolution (CR) just passed by Congress means, and why federal departments and agencies are "substantially handicapped" without an annual budget. Bingaman also touches on the president's budget proposal for fiscal year 2012, which now must also be debated and passed, hopefully before the next fiscal year begins in October 2011.
