    DAYTON, OH - Following months of negotiations with local business leaders and the U.S. Department of Transportation, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced today that the Dayton International Airport (DAY) will again provide two direct daily flights to and from New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) beginning January 4, 2013.

  • Brown Announces New Resources to Maintain Critical Infrastructure in Monroe County

    New resources will help maintain critical infrastructure in Monroe County. U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that Green Township will receive a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development to purchase a new backhoe to maintain the roads under its jurisdiction.

  • Sen. Brown Announces New Resources To Improve Sewer System In Noble County

    A Noble County community will receive new resources to update sewer infrastructure and improve service. U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) awarded a grant to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) to construct a new a new sanitary sewer system in the Village of Belle Valley. The new system will consist of 21,632 linear feet of sewer line and two pump stations that will convey the sewage to the wastewater treatment plant in the Village of Caldwell. The project will provide the new sewer service to 110 households and six businesses.

    A Meigs County community will receive new resources to update water infrastructure and improve service. U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) awarded a grant to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) to relocate and rebuild the underground booster pump station in Reedsville. The new station, located on State Route 681, will improve water service for 750 households and 15 businesses.
