    The national Commission yesterday denied the claim of Timothy J. Jordan, former first baseman of the Brooklyn Baseball Club, which he filed with the Commission April 12, 1911, after the Brooklyn team had released him to the Toronto Club of the Eastern League. In his claim Jordan stated that he was notified of his release, but that the Brooklyn Club had not made a satisfactory settlement. [...]

    This guy looks more "classically handsome" compared to most of the other Old Time Baseball players whose photos I have seen...

    Not to say their faces don't have lots of character, but a lot of them were kind of funny looking...

    Sounds like he got done over by the organization...
    ( which is what happened to so many professional ballplayers in those days )...
