Mr. Tom Udall, from the State of New Mexico, called the Senate to order at 10 a.m., the Reverend Father Marcel Rainville, Chaplain of St. Michael's College, Burlington, Vermont, offered a prayer, and Mr. Udall led the Senate in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.
