About

Representative to Congress from California's 47th District
About Me
I am honored to represent the people of California's 47th Congressional District, which includes the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, and parts of Fullerton in Orange County.

Each day, I fight to protect America from foreign and domestic threats through my work as a Senior Member of the House Homeland Security Committee and as a member of the Subcommittee on Border, Maritime, and Global Counterterrorism. I also sit on the Subcommittee on Emerging Threats, Cybersecurity, and Science and Technology.

In addition to serving on the House Homeland Security Committee, I am the ranking female member on the House Armed Services Committee and Chair of the Terrorism, Unconventional Threats and Capabilities Subcommittee. I have been a longtime advocate for service members, fighting for pay raises, improved health care, child care services, and housing and education benefits for military families. I have worked especially hard to prevent rape and sexual assault in America’s armed services, successfully revising the Uniform Code of Military Justice to create a zero-tolerance policy for sexual abuse.
