Atlantic Coast of the United States

On October 29, 2012, Hurricane Sandy struck land near Atlantic City, NJ at about 8pm (local time). The strongest winds occurred over water to the east and southeast of the eye of the storm. Hurricane-force winds were reported in addition to significant storm surges from the Mid-Atlantic to the southern New England coast line.
