Washington, DC - The bipartisan leadership of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies today released draft text of FY2012 legislation that provides funding for America's National Parks, invests in clean air and water, and protects our nation's fish and wildlife.

Statement of Senators Jack Reed (D-RI) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Chairman and Ranking Member of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee:
"While we continue ongoing, good faith negotiations on the FY2012 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill, we are releasing draft legislation to serve as the Chairman's mark for our subcommittee. We believe that this proposal constitutes a starting point for further discussions with our Senate colleagues and serves as a solid foundation for future negotiations with the House."
