SHAHEEN HONORS CONCORD NURSE FOR LIFE-SAVING ACTIONS IN PORTSMOUTH ROAD RACE

At a ceremony at Concord Hospital, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) honored Kristen McGonigle of Concord for her life-saving actions at this year’s Market Square Days road race in Portsmouth. McGonigle, an Intensive Care Unit nurse at Concord Hospital, helped save the life of fellow runner Steve Whitney of Wolfeboro after Whitney suffered a heart attack during the race. Shaheen presented McGonigle with a copy of the Congressional Record statement she submitted to recognize McGonigle’s heroic actions.
