An 18-year-old Fort Davis, Texan, Sam Dominguez volunteered for the Army believing he’d serve for year and then return home. Six months later, Pearl Harbor was bombed. This sergeant in the 2nd Armored Division stationed in North Africa and Europe proudly recalls the camaraderie and unity of purpose within his unit.
