Likely Charlotte Graveratte Kauffman Breitung, wife of Edward N. Breitung, who made his money in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan mines. The family seemed to have many scandals associated with them.

      NYT of February 7, 1915
      query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=FA0E1 EFE395B17738...
reports that Edward N. Breitung had acquired the German steamship Dacia. This was an issue that led to congressional debates, with some arguing that such purchases would entangle the US in the war. Later in February 1915, the ship was captured by the French and was unable to immediately prove that she was a neutral ship.
