STORM CONDITION UPDATE
West Point Hurricane Sandy Preparation
Stay Informed:
A hurricane/tropical “storm watch” indicates a potential threat within 48 hours; a hurricane/tropical “storm warning” indicates the storm is expected within 36 hours.

West Point employees and community members should use the x7000 line as the primary source of information to receive details about the current conditions on the installation. It will be updated as information becomes available.
  • Carefully monitor the local media for weather updates (WHUD-100.7 fm, for example); review the attached Shelter-in-Place pamphlet that provides some valuable information. http://emergency.cdc.gov/preparedness/shelter/
  • Desktop Alert subscribers may receive periodic updates from the WP EOC.
  • Due to probable flooding, access to North and South Docks has been suspended.
