Bibliographies

Greenwood Press has published a series called Bibliographies and Indexes in Women's Studies. Several academic journals include women's studies as a research category in their year-in-review or recent scholarship sections, as, for example, any issue of the Journal of American History will demonstrate for recent work. Typical historical bibliographies of women's magazines include Sources on the History of Women's Magazines, 1792-1960: An Annotated Bibliography, compiled by Mary Ellen Zuckerman (New York: Greenwood Press, 1991; Z6944.W6Z83 1991 N&CPR) and American Women's Magazines: An Annotated Historical Guide by Nancy K. Humphreys (New York: Garland, 1989; Z6944.W6H85 1989 N&CPR). See Periodical Indexes in the General Collections section for tips on researching articles about women and women's interests in periodicals.
