"The Role of Exports in Small Business Growth and Job Creation"

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship will hold a field hearing on Thursday, August 11 in Manchester, New Hampshire entitled, “The Role of Exports in Small Business Growth and Job Creation.” With 95 percent of the world’s customers living overseas, exports represent an important opportunity for economic growth and job creation in the New Hampshire economy, especially for small businesses. The hearing will examine the role of federal programs aimed at helping small businesses reach new markets and increase their exports. Hearing witnesses will also discuss new resources made available to small businesses through the President’s National Export Initiative (NEI) and the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010.
