About AOC

The Employment and Classification Branch (ECB) issues vacancy announcements for job opportunities that are filled through a competitive process. Vacancy announcements are posted weekly on Mondays or Tuesdays if Monday is a holiday through the AOC’s electronic application system. The vacancy announcements provide job seekers with detailed information regarding the position and qualification requirements.

AOC's electronic application system requires Internet Explorer (IE) 5.5 or above. Once the job seeker is at the AOC’s applicant website, as a new user he/she is required to register by creating a personal account to log in to the AOC’s applicant site. At the AOC’s applicant website, the job seeker is able to view all the current AOC vacancy announcements, to apply online to those jobs of interest, and to read about other resources available to job seekers. Job seekers who have e-mail accounts are also able to receive notifications of the status of applications and are able to be notified of future announcements in accordance with the job search profile created.

Job seekers may visit the AOC Employment Center to search for AOC jobs and to apply online using computer terminals available, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The AOC Employment Center is located at 441 2nd & D Streets, Southwest, Washington, D.C., Room 178.
