Shuttle Service

A shuttle is available to AOC, House and Senate staff to assist in getting across the Capitol Campus on official business. All passengers are required to have a valid House, Senate, or AOC Staff ID to ride the shuttle bus.  Anyone attempting to board the shuttle without proper ID will not be allowed to board the bus. The shuttles are subject to routine security checks by the Capitol Police. New employees must be escorted by a staff member or must have written permission on AOC, House of Representatives, or U.S. Senate letterhead that must be presented to the driver before boarding the bus. 

Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.

The times listed below are approximate. The only times that are exact are the Ford and Hart departing times.
 
Leaving from Ford House Office Building heading toward Hart Senate Office Building:
  • Ford House Office Building: Leaves at 15 minutes and 45 minutes past the hour.
  • Fairchild Building: Arrives at 18 minutes and 48 minutes past the hour.
  • Capitol Power Plant (on request): Arrives at 18 minutes past the hour and 50 minutes past the hour.
  • Longworth House Office Building: Arrives at 20 minutes past the hour and 52 minutes past the hour.
  • Library of Congress/Supreme Court/CVC/Capitol (on request): Arrives at 25 minutes past the hour and 55 minutes past the hour.
  • Russell Senate Office Building: Arrives at 30 minutes past the hour and on the hour.
  • Postal Square: Arrives at 35 minutes past the hour and 5 minutes past the hour.
  • Hart Senate Office Building: Arrives at approximately 40 minutes past the hour and 10 minutes past the hour.
 
Leaving from Hart Senate Office Building heading toward Ford House Office Building:
  • Hart Senate Office Building: Leaves at 15 minutes and 45 minutes past the hour.
  • Library of Congress/Supreme Court/CVC/Capitol: Arrives at 18 minutes past the hour and 48 minutes past the hour. These times are for both stop locations on East Capitol Street.
  • Rayburn House Office Building: Arrives at 20 minutes past the hour and 50 minutes past the hour.
  • Capitol Power Plant (on request): Arrives at 25 minutes past the hour and 55 minutes past the hour.
  • Fairchild Building: Arrives at 25 minutes past the hour and 55 minutes past the hour.
  • Ford House Office Building: Arrives at 30 minutes past the hour and on the hour.
