Acknowledgments

This presentation was developed and edited in 1991 by Gene DeAnna, Motion Picture, Broadcasting and Recorded Sound Division, and Carl Fleischhauer and Joanne B. Freeman of the American Memory pilot project. The detailed descriptive notes for the New York films were provided by historian and curator Charles L. Sachs and associates at South Street Seaport Museum, New York City. Cataloging support was by Laurie Duncan, Motion Picture Cataloger, Motion Picture, Broadcasting and Recorded Sound Division, with special assistance provided by Elaine Woods.

Many of the original paper prints were transferred by Bill Ault at the UCLA film archive in Los Angeles. Videotape mastering was by James B.
