Mary was best friends with Lilian Gish, who kept a clipping file on her friend Mary.

After making her millions, Mary believed in helping people who started out poor as she did growing up in Toronto as Gladys Smith.

A highly knowledgable & successful businesswoman, had no formal education in film, business, economics or law.
