Map of the Holy Land. Bernhard von Breydenbach (d. 1497) went on pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 1483/4, accompanied by Erhard Reuwich, who printed an account of the journey, and made the drawings from which the illustrations in the book were produced. This is the earliest printed ‘tourist guide’, containing historical information, and remedies for sea sickness. It was later in the collection of Pietro-Antonio Bolongaro-Crevenna (1735-1792). This is a map of the Holy Land.
